Applied Innovation
Event Planning and Production
I have been producing special events for more than 35 years for non-profit groups, educational organizations, small businesses, authors and professional development providers. Whether you need a neighborhood event planned and produced or a national sales campaign, I have the knowledge and experience to help you. With your organization’s goals well understood, I can help you create and execute the exact event you need to accomplish your objectives.
Campaign Development
One of the best ways to maintain your organization’s relevance is to conduct a campaign that brings new ideas and new ways of communicating to your particular field. A successful campaign can add to the knowledge base of your industry as well as introducing new and interesting ways of reaching your market.
Madison Avenue On A Shoestring
My specialty is Madison Avenue on a Shoestring, a name I've given to my ability to achieve high-end marketing results with very small budgets. For example, have you ever heard of an advertising campaign that, instead of costing money, actually made a client money before the campaign even got underway?
It happened for Dave at Videoasis. I created a summer-long campaign, Summer Vacation Video Party, that involved printing more than 12,000 little postcards and mailing them to every resident in two Kentucky counties. After the printing and postage expenses my client still had $300 more in his pocket than he had before the campaign began.
The postcard entitled everyone to visit the video store to get one free movie rental a week for 12 weeks. The campaign was so successful that the store gained over 2,000 new members through the summer and revenue was way up compared to previous summers.
I was also successful in getting over $8,000 of FREE advertising at a Number 1 rated radio station for Bryanview Ranch, a horseback riding stable. Simply by making contact I got the station's program director so fired up about the ranch that he'd come out several times a week just to "interview" the horses and then he'd play the interviews on his morning show.
Sure proves the saying, "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it," is true. I have no problem asking for anything from anyone as long as it's moral and fun.
WOWing the WOWmaster
WOWing Tom Peters is difficult to do.
The author of the business hit, In Search of Excellence, was suitably impressed with my display of his latest book, Circle of Innovation, at a professional development trade show in Atlanta. I had 100 cases of his book and I had to display them in a ten foot by ten foot booth. Peters autographed books for people who purchased the book from the display.
I constructed a four-foot-diameter display, a towering circle of his Circle of Innovation book. Said he, "Wow!"
I'm available to help you create successful marketing plans, powerful sales materials and integrated campaigns so you can reach your goals. What can I create for you?
